At My Local Indian we believe in making good food, building a good business and fostering good relationships with all our customers. We want to offer carefully crafted, freshly made Indian food with bags of character and style that is light, healthy, comforting and satisfying. We also aim to make our restaurant quality, delicious dishes easily and speedily available to those who aren’t town or city based and who don’t access to their own local Indian restaurant. In this blog, the Turner family share their experience of ordering from My Local Indian:
We don’t live too remotely, but restaurants and takeaways are a decent car journey away, and particularly in more recent times when journeys out have needed to be ‘essential only’ we have been missing our family treat meals – at a time when we’ve all needed a treat to bring a smile! We were delighted to discover My Local Indian online, and learn that we could order the restaurant food we love but have the convenience of it being delivered to us at home.
We found the ordering process easy and it was good to have a detailed description of each dish so that as a family we could make our selections according to our personal tastes. Order and delivery confirmations were received, and our box arrived on time. Information about how the dishes were packaged and how we should warm them were included at the top of the box, and we were pleased to see that the packaging was recyclable – we try to do our bit for the environment and are very conscious that most of the take away/ ready meal packaging we’ve come across before is not eco-friendly.
Our meals were easy to heat up, and in fact due to the big container sizes we had more than enough for a big family feast, so some of the dishes we ordered stayed in the freezer to be enjoyed another time!

‘Grandma’s Chicken Curry’ and ‘Vegetable Mango Curry’ were dishes that we had not tried before, and they were absolutely delicious and just as tasty as you would expect in a restaurant – definitely meals that we will order again next time. The ‘Onion Pakora’ package had so many in there, and was something that we would never normally pick up from the supermarket as they are usually inferior – these however we top notch!

We have signed up to receive the My Local Indian newsletter and have already received a lovely discount code on email that we can use for our next order – we think My Local Indian will become Our Local Indian in this house!
